Connecting with your Hard-Wired Happiness

Prof. Srikumar Rao teaches people to be grateful and wants them to meditate. But he isn't a spiritual teacher: he teaches at some of the world's top business schools! In his gentle voice, he asks them to stop living in a "me centered" world and start living in an "other centered" one. At a recent gathering, Professor Rao addressed the idea of 'mental models' that keep us from succeeding. He specifically speaks about the 'if-only,' results-oriented nature of our society, what is wrong with it, and what to do about it.

It's all about accepting the universe exactly as it is.

Explore Professor Rao's course syllabus and intriguing required reading list, including his recent book: Happiness At Work!

How does Rao bring business-school Type A's in touch with their inner yogi?  Time Magazine explores that in B-School Buddhism.

For the biggest goal you have in your life, start thinking about process instead of result.  Make the goal to succeed in the process (eating right every day instead of losing 10 lbs).

Awesome to see advocation for positive approaches to life - rather than 'fixing problems.'
